Covid-19 Temporary Closure

As the UK continues to tackle COVID-19, we continue to observe the prevailing advice to ensure the safety of our employees and their families, our customers and the wider population.

The business remains temporarily closed in line with the collective responsibility and instruction to Stay Home, Protect the NHS and Save Lives.

This closure will be in effect until further notice, or until any potential government lockdown is lifted.

Our Customers and their vehicles:

We understand that this is a concerning time for everyone, as such we want to ensure that our customers are provided with as much information as possible and that any questions you may have are answered.

Many of you have been in touch with individual queries, different questions and some just to say "Fit Like?".

The inverurie@lawrenceofkemnay.co.uk is monitored at all times and we ask that you continue to reach us here meantime.

Every customer with an outstanding order for a car has been contacted regularly and we will endeavour to deliver these as soon as it is safe to do so.

All diary appointments which were cancelled will be rescheduled by our team in due course.

Meantime, manufacturers have agreed that service intervals, warranty cover and any free breakdown recovery due dates will all be extended month by month.

Ford Assistance Breakdown cover that we provide free with every service has now been extended until May 18th 2020.

MOT expiry dates, or first MOT at 3 years of age have all been extended by 6 months per the link below.

Renewing your car tax online if your MOT shows "expired" can be completed by following this process:

Although your car’s MOT has been automatically extended, in order to get the official records for it updated you need to email covid19mot@dvsa.gov.uk, stating the date the MOT expires and the car’s registration number.

Car Finance:

Contact your finance company if you have an agreement coming to and end with a final instalment due. These can now be extended by up to 60 days.

You can also now request a 3 month payment holiday without this affecting your credit file. Note: You may still need to pay the interest.

The welfare of our employees during what is an ever-evolving situation remains our priority, and we will take all necessary steps to support our employees during this period and beyond.

Our NHS:

During this closure, we have a number of courtesy vehicles and demonstrators which will not be used. We will provide a vehicle, free of charge, for use by any front-line NHS employee who requires access to transport.
